January is here, and with it a new Stormbound release with the new special event and balance changes.

Balance changes

This release, just like any other, will bring some balance changes.

  • Spellbinder Zhevana's ability now Deals 4/5/6/7/8 damage to frozen units in front, then gaining 3 mana for each unit destroyed (previously destroyed frozen units with up to 4/5/6/7/8 strength and gained 4 mana for each unit destroyed)
  • Dawnsparks' strength is now 5/7/9/11/15 (from 6/8/10/13/16)
  • Doppelbocks strength is now 1/2/2/2/3 (from 1/1/2/3/4) and ability is now 1/1/1-2/2/2 from 1/1-2/1-2/1-2/1-2)
  • Hunter's Vengeance's ability now deals 2/3/4/5/6 damage to one unit of each primary unit type (from dealing damage to one unit of each unit type)
  • Rain of Frogs' ability is now 3/4/5/6/7 (from 3/4/4-5/6)
  • Blood Ministers' strength is now 5/6/8/9/11 (from 5/6/7/8/10)
Nerf compensation

As usual, some compensation in the form of coins and fusion stones will be provided to owners of Dawnsparks, Doppelbocks, and Hunter’s Vengeance, proportional to the level and rarity of the card. Find below the compensation values for each rarity and level.

  • common card  Common card: coin 10 coins at level 2, coin 20 coins and fusion stone 1 fusion stone at level 3, coin 50 coins and fusion stone 2 fusion stones at level 4, coin 120 coins and fusion stone 5 fusion stones at level 5.
  • epic card  Epic card: coin 15 coins and fusion stone 2 fusion stones at level 2, coin 40 coins and fusion stone 5 fusion stones at level 3, coin 120 coins and fusion stone 10 fusion stones at level 4, coin 250 coins and fusion stone 20 fusion stones at level 5.

New Year's Event

To celebrate the New Year, we’re hosting a special event in Stormbound!

The New Year's event runs from January 5th to January 19th, 2026, ending at 8:00 AM CET.

New Year's Gift

During the event, everyone will receive a gift of coin 200 coins. To grab the gift, just redeem a special code, which is valid from January 5th to January 19th, 2026, 8:00 AM CET.

  1. To activate the code, go to the redeem code site.  
  2. Enter the code in the Code field.
  3. Enter your Player ID in the Player ID field (you can find your Player ID in the in-game settings and copy it from there).

More Coins

During the first week of the event, all coin gains and the coin cap will be doubled, except for quests. The daily coin cap will be set at 1,000 coins for free-to-play players, and 2,000 coins for players with a premium pass.

More Cards

Book of Elders and Book of Ancients will yield 2 extra cards for the duration of the first week of the event in store, starting from January 5th to January 12th, 2026, 8:00 AM CET.

Ruby bonus

Moreover, every Ruby bundle will yield 30% more rubies.

Cheapened Brawl

During the second week of the event, Brawl will be available at 50% off, and if you own the Premium Pass, your usual discount will stack for a total of 60% off.
