About the August update

We would like to inform you that we’ve decided to postpone the release of the August update until September due to the urgent need for further game optimization. It needed to be done due to planned marketing campaigns for the game’s Anniversary Event.

This means that quality of life changes as well as the Retired Commanders and Anointed Saviors new cards that were announced for August will be released later in September.

Patch notes communication

We’ve also decided to change the format for the patch notes. Starting from September, they will be released in 2 parts:

The first part of each following Patch Notes will be releasing before the season reset, and will be focusing solely on balance changes.
The second part of each following Patch Notes will be updating in the middle of each month to update you on all things new and upcoming, including new cards’ release dates, new brawls, new features, tweaks, etc.

We believe this change will ensure better communication and will help us avoid any future delays due to unforeseen circumstances. The September release notes (that you’re reading now) will be updated with upcoming in-game content later in September.

Balance changes

This release, just like any other, will bring some balance changes.

Absorbing Varmints’ strength is now 4/5/6/7/8 (up from 3/4/5/6/7) and their ability deals 2/3/3/4/4 (up from 1/2/2/3/3).
Original Blueprints’ strength is now 3/4/5/6/7 (up from 2/3/4/5/6).
Amberhides’ strength is now 5/6/7/8/9 (up from 4/5/6/7/8) and their ability now drains from the strongest surrounding poisoned unit (instead of a random one).
Brood Sages’ ability now spawns 2/3/3/4/5 toads (up from 1/2/3/3/4) and is made surrounding at level 3 and higher (changed from bordering).
Mischiefs’ strength is now 3/4/5/6/7 (down from 4/5/6/7/8).
Angelic Tikas’ ability is made bordering (changed from surrounding).

Nerf compensation

As usual, some compensation in the form of coins and fusion stones will be provided to owners of Mischiefs and Angelic Tikas, proportional to the level and rarity of the card. Find below the compensation values for each rarity and level.

Common card: 10 coins at level 2, 20 coins and 1 fusion stone at level 3, 50 coins and 2 fusion stones at level 4, 120 coins and 5 fusion stones at level 5.
Epic card: 15 coins and 2 fusion stones at level 2, 40 coins and 5 fusion stones at level 3, 120 coins and 10 fusion stones at level 4, 250 coins and 20 fusion stones at level 5.

Anniversary Event

The Anniversary Event starts on September 15th and will last until September 24th, 2023. To mark this special occasion, we’ve arranged a birthday gift along with bonuses and anniversary offers that will be available throughout the event.

Birthday Gift

Everyone will receive the gift consisting of: 600 coins, 60 rubies, 6 fusion stones and 1 random legendary card.

Grab your present by redeeming, the special code: ANNIVERSARY.

To activate the code, go to the Game Options located in the top-right corner of the main menu screen. From there, tap the “Redeem code” button, input the code, and tap the “Claim” button to confirm.

Note: you can only redeem this code from September 15th until September 18th.

More coins

During the event, all coin gains will be doubled, except for quests. The coin cap will also be doubled, reaching 800 coins for all players, and 1,400 coins for Premium Pass holders.

More cards

What’s more, all books will contain more cards during that timeframe. Books normally holding 3 cards will contain 4, and books containing 6 cards (Mythic, Heroic and Classic) will yield 8!

Ruby bonus

Moreover, every Ruby bundle will yield double the original amount of rubies. This is not time-bound, and effectively lasts forever until every bundle has been bought once.

Cheapened Brawl

The Brawl starting on September 21st, 2023, will be cheaper. All fights will be 50% off. Owners of the Premium Pass will also have their usual discount applied, leading to a 60% reduction.
